How I do it

The process behind creating a new, commissioned artwork always starts with getting to know you a little, how does your space looks like, what would you like to change.

You tell me your needs, share your ideas, or just describe a feeling you want to have when entering the room. I can make that happen.
I like listening to your kids. They can be a real inspiration when it comes to their own space.

This is the example process behind designing a fresh look for the little treasure in Amsterdam:
"Tante Toorp Huiskamer van de buurt". It's buzzing, always full of activities, friendly, warm, indoor and garden space, which connects the vibrant community.

How it was:

Having all that in mind, The Bee was my natural, first idea for the symbol and dominant decor. It describes the place concept, connects the inner and outer space and holds the meaning.

This painting was created intuitively, without any project prepared beforehand.
I had full confidence of the place owner. My style, experience and character allows me for such fun process.
However, if you feel uncertain, I can always prepare a small sketch for you of which direction we'll be heading in.

We choose the color pallet together. I like working with quality wall paints.

The rest is just pure art making for a few days.
